Never, never use a special character or space in a table, query, form, report or field name. (p14) Some databases do not allow these.
Do you use plural or singular form for names (IE: Employee vs Employees)? Does not matter, but be consistant.
Do names begin with an upper or lower case letter. Again it does not matter, be consistant. Some databases only use lowercase for names - but ignore uppercase (treat it as lowercase).
Field names in tables should begin with the table name (IE employeeFirstName not FirstName).
